Gordon J. Knox graduated in Geology from University College London, and gained his Doctorate from the University of Liverpool working on the structure of the Andes of Peru. He had 28 years’experience in the international oil and gas exploration business with Royal Dutch/ Shell. He has lived and worked in a variety of geological settings and locations, and was involved in land and marine operations; field work, head office and research and technology centres. In 2003, he was an International Distinguished Lecturer for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists on the topics of Risk and Uncertainty in Petroleum Exploration, and Ways of Working in Exploration; and also a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Malta in Applied Geology. He is one of the founder members of the Malta Water Association, formed in March 2011.
